Support
Haushold is a shared home for the admin of a household — the calendar, the grocery list, the meals, the bills and the jobs, in one place that everyone who lives there can see and change. It is built for adults sharing a home: partners, housemates, co-owners.
What the app does
- A shared calendar, including repeating events
- Grocery lists that update for everyone at once
- Meal planning and a recipe box
- Household tasks, with due dates and who has them
- Shared bills, expenses and who paid
- What is in the house, and what has run out
- Maintenance jobs and when each was last done
- A household wiki and noticeboard
- An AI assistant that can read the household's lists
Everything is shared with the household rather than owned by one person, and changes appear on everyone else’s screen as they happen.
Getting help, from a person
Email support@haushold.app. That address reaches a person, not a queue and not a bot, and it is the only support channel — there is no phone line and no live chat.
There is deliberately no contact form on this page. Haushold has no ticketing backend to submit one to, and a form that appears to send while going nowhere is worse than no form, so the mailto link above is the real route rather than a fallback behind one.
It helps to say which household you are in, what you were doing, and roughly when. If you are reporting something that looks wrong with your data, please do not delete anything before you write — it is much easier to fix while it is still there.
Deleting your account
Open Settings, scroll to Account, and use Delete account at the bottom. It asks you to type a confirmation phrase first. There is no waiting period and no undo.
What goes, and what stays. Your sign-in, your profile, your notifications, your saved devices and your assistant history are deleted with the account, immediately, and are not recoverable. The household’s own content is not yours alone and does not leave with you: the grocery lists, calendar events, tasks, recipes, meal plans, bills, inventory, maintenance records, wiki pages and announcements stay with the household for the people still living there. What is removed from them is your name — anything you made is still there, shown in a neutral grey instead of your colour and with no one credited. That is the deliberate behaviour: a housemate leaving should not empty the shared calendar of everyone who stayed.
If you are the last member of your household and you want the household and everything in it removed as well, email support@haushold.app from the address on the account and say so. Deleting your account does not delete the household on its own, because there is normally somebody left in it. Requests handled by hand are done within 30 days, and usually much sooner.
Free and Plus
Haushold is free to use, for as many people as live in your home. A new household also gets 14 days of Haushold Plus at the start, with no card asked for and nothing to cancel — when it ends, the account simply becomes a free one. Nothing is deleted and nothing is locked away; the older entries are still there and reappear the moment a household is on Plus again.
The free plan gives every household the full calendar, grocery lists, tasks, meals, finance, inventory, maintenance, wiki and announcements, with no limit on members or on how much you put in them. Its four ceilings are 3 AI assistant messages per person per day, 10 recipe imports, no photos on tasks, and history reaching back 90 days.
Haushold Plus lifts exactly those four, for the whole household at once:
- 50 AI messages a day, up from 3
- Recipe imports without a limit, up from 10
- Photos on tasks, and your own pictures on recipes
- Your whole history, not just the last 90 days
Prices, and the option to start or stop paying, are in Settings under Billing. Payment is handled by Stripe; Haushold never sees or stores a card number. A subscription can be cancelled there at any time and runs to the end of the period already paid for.
Questions we are actually asked
- Is there a demo account I can try?
- There is no public demo login. Making a household takes about a minute, and the first 14 days include everything Haushold Plus does, with no card and nothing to cancel — so a new account is a better look at the app than a demo one would be. App Store reviewers: the demo credentials are in the review notes attached to the build in App Store Connect, not on this page.
- Does Haushold work without an internet connection?
- No. Every screen reads and writes live, so that a grocery item one person ticks off disappears from everyone else's phone in the same second. There is no offline cache and nothing queues up to send later: with no connection the app cannot load, and changes made on a dropped connection are not saved. This is a real limitation rather than a temporary one, and it is the honest answer to give before you rely on it in a shop.
- Which features need Haushold Plus?
- Four. Photos on tasks. Recipe imports beyond the first 10. AI assistant messages beyond 3 a day. And history older than 90 days. Everything else — the calendar, grocery lists, tasks, meals, finance, inventory, maintenance, the wiki, announcements, every member of the household — is on the free plan with no cap.
